I'm not a professional so I don't know this for sure. This is just my personal opinion based on problems I've seen you solve. My feeling is that your ability level is 750-800. The reading comprehension passages are excellent.Īre you "talking" about the quant section?ĭo you usually score higher in PowerPrep than on this test? Did this test take longer to finish? Did you think this was a bit harder than PowerPrep or a bit easier? Was the scaled score similar to what you get in PowerPrep? That is what impressed.Īlso, the verbal section seems to be at the right difficulty level albeit the sentence completions and analogies are a bit easy. A lot more than Barrons or Kaplan or Princeton Review. The Cambridge test has A LOT of these types of questions. They test logic more than number crunching. These are the types of questions the GRE test makers give. What will be the first number you get that is larger than 1000? I am making this one up, but here's an easy example of what I mean by a "clean question":ġ) Assume you add 75 by itself infinitely (75+75+75.). OVERALL though, the questions in Cambridge are A LOT like PowerPrep. On one problem in Cambridge there is a quant comparison question where you can't assume the lines are straight. For instance, if I understand it correctly, you can assume all lines that look straight are straight lines (in PowerPrep). I got the exact same problem you did! I noticed that it should have an = sign rather than a + sign and solved it as if it had an = sign. Yes, there are errors! I noticed there are several. The cool thing about Cambridge is it gives you a RANGE for your score, which is more realistic. I've noticed that sometimes the Cambridge CAT tests are harder than other times. The 800score quant comparisons are usually easier than what you will see on the GRE.īy the way, did you take the Cambridge CAT tests yet? What do you think of the difficulty of the quant compared to PowerPrep? How are you scoring compared to PowerPrep? Similar? I feel the 800score word problems are harder and more time consuming than problems you will see on the GRE. I usually run out of time and have 2 or 3 questions left when I take 800score tests.

The highest I score on 800score tests is 730, way below what I get in PowerPrep and other practice tests.

If you are CONSISTENTLY getting 24/28 questions right on the 800score tests in 45 minutes, you are doing great. On their practice tests you usually get a scaled score out of 800 that is quite a bit lower than what you will get on the real GRE. My feeling is that 800score is OVERALL harder than the real GRE in terms of scoring. I wrote a post previously about 800score and some other more difficult practice tests. These guys don't publish books anymore? What happened to this test prep company? The reasoning required is very similar in terms of being "clean" and not requiring tons of calculations. It might be a bit easier, but the quant section has questions similar to PowerPrep.

Please tell me what you think of the software in terms of difficulty compared to PowerPrep. The analytical reasoning section is now replaced with the analytical writing section. As a result, please skip over the analytical reasoning section and only take the verbal and quant parts. Tell me what you think.Įven though I liked the software it is kind of old.

GRE POWERPREP 2 REVIEW PASSWORD

You can find the password for this software in Google. I won't post the link because that's unfair to Erin (the moderator). The tests remind me more of PowerPrep than any other software I have tried so far. Guys, I found the Cambridge Review software CAT for the GRE on esnips for free.
